On July 15, 2025, the African University of Science and Management (AUSM) was officially established and licensed by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) under the Ministry of Education and Sports, authorizing us to operate as a fully accredited private university.

AUSM | Our Journey

The roots of this achievement date back to 2013, when a collaborative effort led to the founding of the Uganda Nursing School Bwindi (UNSB). This initiative was spearheaded by a visionary team including benefactors Mr. Stephen Wolfand Mr. James D. Jameson, Dr. Scott Kellermann (founder of Bwindi Community Hospital), the Church of Uganda Diocese of Kinkizi, the Bwindi Community Hospital Management, and myself, Dr. Jane Anyango, as the founding Principal.
